Who We Are

Welcome to AB&W Credit Union, Inc. Since our charter was granted February 15, 1952, our goal has been to give our members the best service possible. We firmly believe "ONCE A MEMBER, ALWAYS A MEMBER." AB&W Credit Union is not-for-profit but for service. The purpose of this Credit Union has been to encourage thrift and engage in any activity or service that may be of benefit to our members.

We are a financial not-for-profit cooperative designed for people helping people. AB&W Credit Union helps its members to improve their way of life through convenient savings plans and accessible loan programs.

A Credit Union is an organization that returns earnings to its members, the Shareholders. Evidence of these returns appear in the comparably lower interest rates on loans and higher dividends on savings.

Members help members. This is what makes Credit Unions so unique. The funds saved by members are used to help other members acquire loans.

Making the most of your money. Each term our members democratically elect a Board of Directors to establish the policies under which the Credit Union operates. The Board of Directors are all volunteer positions. Based on the Credit Union's bylaws and the laws of the government regulatory agency, this Board of Directors makes decisions in the best interest of the Credit Union.

You will find that AB&W Credit Union is very flexible and willing to help its members whenever possible. Membership is open to employees and family members (by birth or marriage), retired employees of companies within our Charter, and the surviving family of a deceased member.

All accounts are insured up to at least $100,000.00 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Funds (NCUSIF). Additional protection is provided by the Supervisory Committee who examines all accounts and oversees the annual audit.
